Shunned At A Funeral — Woman

By the river where the market breathes
She counted cloth and kept her word
Purple folded and singing
Like a promise only kings could once afford
God unsealed her listening heart to broken before her plea
Grace arrived and made a dwelling
And a church was born where she would be
Strong
Not loud, but standing still
Hands made brave by faithful will
Loving called, yet never spared
The cost of being chosen then
Grace that meets us where we are
Turns our yes into a scar
Sing it clear, then carry on
Strength was there all along
On a road where bread ran out
She stayed when staying meant the least
Bound her future to another
With a vow that would not cease
